HAVE YOU BEEN WASHED? (The Series… Pt. 3)

At this point, let me provoke your mind to seek the truth further. The following Churches are the Churches that I (Pastor Moses) know that they baptize wrongly and this is based on several open survey I have done in my church doing our Tuesdays – Healing & Deliverance Services
1.WINNERS (Living Faith) baptizes wrongly
2. ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (They started most of the errors. They are mostly not Christians sef. They are Catholics because it’s a religion on its own)
3. ANGLICAN CHURCH (They protested out but took the error along as regards baptism)
4. THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (They have not interpreted that scripture – Matthew 28:19 well)
5.  CAC baptizes wrongly
6.  DEEPER LIFE baptizes wrongly
15. TREM and so much more…

*But CHRIST EMBASSY baptizes correctly. Even though, that’s the only thing I know they do correctly when it comes to Christian Ordinances.

The video below is a view to one of our open survey:

In previous series, we sort a typical example of water baptism by Christ’s disciples after the Pentecost experience and we took a look at the account of Philip and the Ethiopia Eunuch.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: AND THEY WENT DOWN BOTH INTO THE WATER, both Philip and the eunuch; AND HE BAPTIZED HIM.

39 And when THEY WERE COME UP OUT OF THE WATER, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea. — Acts 8:34-40 (Kjv)

So the Ethiopian Eunuch followed Romans 10:10 as seen in Acts 8:37 but Evangelist Philip took him further and He conducted water baptism for the Ethiopian Eunuch and clearly it was baptism (immersion) in water.

Now the big questions are:

Were there other citations in the bible wherein water baptism was spoken of or conducted? In what name did the disciples carry out water baptism?

Most churches of the 21st century have pushed away water baptism to the background and to extinction as if it were never part of our Christian ordinances in the New testament and the few who still conduct water baptism sessions, they do so as if it were an initiation or board pass to become a member of their local church and nothing more. This is false! Water baptism is beyond just being a member of a church but most of these churches don’t know this and that is why in Catholic Church you go through baptismal class before you baptize and if something goes wrong and you leave and go to Methodist church, you have to undergo baptismal class and re-baptized and if you leave and go to Winners you will repeat your baptism and on and on like that. Through the rigor of trying to pass their baptismal classes which I am yet to find a single scripture in the New Testament where people were subjected to baptismal class prior to water baptism.

You can’t enter into the Holy City, if you have been baptized wrongly. Baptism by sprinkling, infant baptism and baptism in the title of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit (that is where you have been told, “I baptize in the name of the father, of the son and of the Holy Spirit”). All these baptisms are wrong! Yes, many are sincere but by being copy typist that repeats word for word what the Lord has said, they are nothing but sincerely wrong. The scripture say, “Study! Study! Study to show yourself approved unto God (not unto man)”

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in THE NAME of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

– Matthew 28:19

Note the emphasis is THE NAME and so I could ask

What is the Name of the Father? Luke 1:59-60, John 5:43, John 10:25, John 17:11,

What is the Name of the Son? Mark 1:1, Matthew 8:29, Matthew 16:16, Matthew 14:31-33, Matthew 26:63-64,

What is the Name of the Holy Spirit? John 14:26.

Now this is not about the Godhead and whether God is three in one (Trinity) or He is not? This is about salvation so take your mind off the arguments for and against trinity and focus just on the need for you to be saved. What is THE NAME?

Further Hint: Colossians 3:17

The NAME of the Father, He gave to His Son and IN that NAME, we receive the Holy Spirit.

Why should I baptize in accordance to Acts 2:38?

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” – Acts 2:38

“15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”  – Mark 16:15-16

Also remember that prior to Acts 2:38, Peter and the rest in the upper room had just received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and these were the things the Holy Spirit was to do in them

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” – John 14:26

“For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.” – Luke 12:12

Just in case you think Apostle Peter was too intoxicated in the Holy Ghost when He spoke in Acts 2:38, see Philip’s account in Acts 8:12-17 and clearly note that baptism was in two fold (of water and of the Spirit), See Acts 8:34-40 as it clearly points out that that of water was literal water and not a figuratively statement.

Can one re-baptize? Yes, you can re-baptize when you know you were baptized wrongly. See Apostle Paul’s account in Acts 19:1-6

Can one be baptized of the Holy Spirit before His/her water baptism?

Do one who already has the baptism of the Holy Ghost even need water baptism?

Yes, you can be baptized of the Holy Spirit and yet you have not done correct water baptism but if truly it is the Spirit of God that you have received, then that Spirit will lead you to all truth including the need for correct water baptism which is water baptism (being immersed in water) in Jesus name. See Acts 10, another encounter Apostle Peter had but this time in the house of Brother Cornelius. Cornelius and his household received the baptism of the Holy Ghost first and yet Peter did the needful and they were all baptized by immersion. Pay attention to Acts 10:44 &47. They were baptized in the name of the Lord, that is, in Jesus name Acts 10:48

The truth that many pastors and churches fail to understand is that you are not saved if you are not under the blood of Jesus Christ and you are not under the blood by just believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth, you must take that remaining step, be baptized! Correct water baptism is your part to play but the baptism of the Holy Spirit is God’s part and you can’t help him in that regards. You can only ensure that you are sanctified at all times, prepared for Him to come in and dwell in you.

We continually baptize people in their hundreds during our Healing and Deliverance service that holds every Tuesday at the Church auditorium. We are not baptizing you so that you can be a member of this church and even when you baptize we have no certificate to give you and so many are watching online and they call in and we find the churches around them that baptize correctly and we connect them to that church.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” – Matthew 7:7

My prayer remains that the footstep of even if it be just one righteous, let that person’s step find this post and come out of that error! For there is time no longer!
